The Sounds...can't say I'm a real fan of theirs, but I can't resist them when Rex touches them with gold.

And then there's The Knife/Booka Shade because I think it's been the year of Knife/Shade. Maybe Knife more than Shade, personally, but regardless it's been a great year for their releases.

So a few days ago my iTunes (always on random) decided to play a Stuart Price remix of Britney Spears' "Breath On Me". And then yesterday as I was getting my hair cut at a cute Japanese salon off of St. Marks- what do you know, the Thin White Duke Mix of "What You Waiting For" came on!

I don't know, but this whole electro-dance-rock-nu:rave thing may be getting a little out of control for me. Mind you I love a good dance number, but Klaxons sound like Van She who sound like Gang Bang (or Bang Gang or whatever they're called) who sound like The Valentinos who sound like any other MSTRKRFT track. And you know, I love me the Kitsuné catalogue, but why, why, why are they releasing Gun'n'Bombs?! It sounds like every other shit that comes out: Daft Punk being butchered (not even burned) at the stake!

Don't really know where I'm going with this...I'll keep things spiced up.
