Good food in SF: Taqueria Cancun on Mission, 2 bl. south of Cesar Chavez, where Mission and Valencia meet (yes, they do meet).
Also: Cafe Ethiopia, on Valencia somewhere around 21st, across from gas station.
Another cool food place is Tu Lan on 6th Street, just south of Market. Vietnamese food and mostly hookers and crack addicts, but all in good spirit (really).
